Winning Attitude 12: Speed & Accuracy

We live in a fast paced world where speed and accuracy are both highly celebrated. People value timely services at the convenience of their finger tips. People generally hate waiting and have little patience for things that are seemingly dragging. People are happy to pay a little more just to avoid waiting in the queue or even to have their products and services delivered right at their door steps. Such is the world in which we live and you either adapt or get dropped for your competitors. It is no longer a race for life, it is a race for speed, efficiency and convenience. The marketing industry has taken note of this shift and greatly rides on its tides.

Time is the currency of the 21st century. Everyone today is in a tremendous hurry. Your job is to develop a reputation for speed. Develop a “sense of urgency.” Develop a bias for action. Move fast on opportunities. Move fast when people want or need something. Move quickly when you see something that needs to be done. It is no longer the early bird that catches the worm but rather the fastest worm, no doubt we are living in the twenty first century. People who have a reputation for moving quickly attract more opportunities and possibilities to them. They get more chances to do more and more things faster than other people who just do a job when they get around to it.

When you can combine your ability to select your highest priority task with the commitment to getting it done quickly and well, you will find yourself moving to the front. More doors and opportunities will open for you than you can even imagine today. You have several apps and software that is meant to help you increase efficiency, make use of them. You can’t afford to lag behind while the world around you is moving at a terrific speed. You either catch up or you get dropped for better alternatives. Early adopters tend to be more successful than late adopters when it comes to technology and the latest economic developments.

We have heard the principle of hard work from childhood but the concept of working smart and efficiently is quite new. You must adapt to the changing trends and master the work skills for the twenty first century. Ignorance is no longer an excuse in this day and age neither is lack of exposure a validation for failing as long as you have access to internet. The most efficient people are not the smartest chaps but rather those that choose to ride with the tided of latest technology and development. The early adopters make profane profits before the rest of the majority get wind of new opportunities.

It is not just how fast you get the job done but rather how fast and accurately you get the job done. Master your trade and keep reducing the time gap between the first order and their delivery. Such small things can be the biggest breakthrough that your business or career needs. Keep working at your efficiency levels until you become unbeatable with unmatchable accuracy then you will dominate your industry. Winning in life and business is a choice that you can make today and start working towards daily.
